St. John’s has officially added three members to their 2021 class as Long Island (NY) Lutheran seniors Drissa Traore and Rafael Pinzon and O’Mar Stanley of Leap Year Prep (MO) have signed their National Letters of Intent.

Traore, a 6-foot-7, 210-pound power forward who runs with the PSA Cardinals AAU team, announced his commitment to St. John’s on August 3rd.

According to 247Sports.com, Traore is ranked as the No. 56 power forward in the Class of 2021.

“Drissa is a warrior,” LuHi coach John Buck told ZAGSBLOG. “He’s one of the hardest-working players I’ve ever coached and also one of the most genuine. He competes every day and has grown his skill set steadily every year. Drissa is a winner and plays without fear.”

Pinzon, a 6-foot-5, 175-pound shooting guard, who plays for the NY Jayhawks became the second commit in St. John’s 2021 class when he chose the Red Storm over over Florida and New Mexico on Sept. 14.

According to 247Sports.com, Pinzon is ranked as the No. 35 shooting guard in the Class of 2021.

“Rafael puts the ball in the basket,” Buck said. “We only got to see his true ability towards the end of last year when he became fully healthy. Against Sierra Canyon, he went back and forth with BJ Boston for much of the game. Rafael is also a genuine, hard-working guy who will be a great addition to St. John’s.”

St. John’s added a third commit in their 2021 class when 6-foot-8 big O’Mar Stanley committed on Tuesday.

Stanley signed his National Letter of Intent with St. John’s on Wednesday.
