The long and winding recruitment of Jordan Tucker has ended in storybook fashion.
The 6-foot-7 wing from White Plains, N.Y., committed to Duke on Saturday following an official visit this week.

Tucker chose Duke after they offered him a scholarship on Saturday when they lost out on Kevin Knox to Kentucky.
Tucker had been courted by Syracuse, Villanova and Georgia Tech most recently before narrowing it to Duke and Syracuse.
Jordan Tucker, one of the top remaining uncommitted players in the class of 2017, is down to Duke and Syracuse and expects to announce in the coming few days.
Following Kevin Knox‘s decision to commit to Kentucky last Saturday, Duke was left looking for another wing option. Tucker, out of Marietta (GA) Wheeler, visited the ACC school this week.
“It was good,” Tucker told Scout.com. “[Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski] basically said that he needs someone to come in and score the ball. They don’t have a true wing, a two or three. They have Grayson [Allen] and Gary [Trent] and then someone like me that can shoot the ball at 6-7 or 6-8 and give them some versatility. I could play the two, the three or the four.
“He said I could play a lot, as far as minutes go, but being a starter isn’t a guarantee at all,” Tucker added. “He said everyone has to come in and work for that.”
Duke is also losing point guard Frank Jackson to the NBA Draft, and remains in the mix for 2017 point guard Trevon Duval.

After visiting Georgia Tech and canceling a visit to Oregon, Duke’s offer comes to Tucker as the No. 40 ranked player by ESPN as he nears a college decision.
Following Kevin Knox‘s decision to commit to Kentucky on Saturday, Duke is left looking for another wing option.
