Now tracking as one of the best players in the country in his class, five star Malik Moore is starting to accumulate offers and generate interest as one of the country’s more highly sought after recruits.

With high octane Class of 2027 point guard Micah Gordon recently transferring from Plainfield (NJ) HS to Spire Academy (Oh.) under an exalted figure in the prep world in head coach Kevin Boyle, Moore will be under an immense microscope throughout New Jersey next season.

He enters his heavily anticipated junior season at Union Catholic (NJ) as a play-creation source on which his team will lean significantly.

Moore showed a polished, manipulative one on one arsenal during his recent performance at Philly Live.

A left handed, downhill threat at 6-foot-4, Moore has developed into a certifiable three-level scorer with a crafty, ambidextrous in-traffic finishing repertoire.

He has registered his presence as one of the top players at the recent Nike EYBL Elite 100 Camp in Saint Louis.

After garnering an offer from Penn State this week, a number of programs appear to be waiting in the wings and intrigued by the heady, dish first facilitating point guard.

“I’ve been offered by Creighton, Providence, Penn State, Manhattan, San Diego, Hampton, and East Carolina,” said Moore, who is now the top-ranked player from New Jersey, according to the 247Sports Composite.

“I’ve talked a ton to Seton Hall with (assistant) Coach (Andrew) Francis. We’ve been building a good relationship alongside these other schools that reached out. Notre Dame, Syracuse, Boston College, VCU, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma, West Virginia and a few others.”

As soon as June 15th has arrived, a number of programs have reached out to Moore. He heard from Auburn, UCF, Penn State, Seton Hall, Xavier, VCU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Boston College, Syracuse, and a slew of others.

As he continues to commandeer the offense and ready himself for the play-making point guard role at Union Catholic (NJ) next season, Moore said he envisions himself playing the one-spot at the ensuing level.

“As a player Im starting to really turn into a pass first guard,” Moore said. “I’m always looking to get my teammates involved. Being a high energy player and a leader. Being a super physical guard, especially on defense and just being really athletic across the court.”
