Peter Carey, the 7-foot big man from Northfield Mount Hermon (MA), has committed to Syracuse.

Carey is unranked by 247Sports.com but has a high upside.

“Peter fits the Syracuse mold,” NMH coach John Carroll said. “He’s a great match for the zone and his significant athleticism will be a great match on the offensive end. He was an absolute unknown 18 months ago and has as big an upside as anyone to come through the NMH program. He is a unique talent that will make an impact in his time at Syracuse.”

He joins point guard Quadir Copeland and small forward Justin Taylor in coach Jim Boeheim’s 2022 class.
