Kevin Knox took his final official visit to North Carolina this past weekend and will decide sometime in early April between UNC, Duke, Kentucky and Florida State, the alma mater of his parents.

His father, Kevin Knox Sr., said UNC and Florida State “need” his son, a 6-foot-9 wing scorer from Tampa (FL) Catholic, while Duke and Kentucky “want” him.

“When you dissect each roster, I can actually see where Florida State and North Carolina would absolutely, positively need a guy like Kevin in the role that he would fulfill,” Knox Sr. told Ben Roberts of the Herald-Leader. “Whereas Kentucky, I think they might be all right. As well as Duke.”

As for North Carolina, which has yet to land a five-star recruit in 2017, they definitely “need” him.

Kentucky-Bound Nick Richards Spearheads Comeback as The Patrick School Reaches Union County Final

UNION, N.J. — The outlook didn’t appear great for Nick Richards and The Patrick School entering the fourth quarter of their Union County Tournament semifinal on Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-11 Kentucky-bound big man had just three points to go with his three fouls and the defending champion Celtics trailed rival Roselle Catholic by three points entering the final stanza.

“It’s my last year as a senior, I don’t want to go out losing like this so I had to turn up,” Richards said. “I had to leave it all out there.”

Richards did just that, scoring 10 of his 13 points in the fourth as No. 2-seeded Patrick School outscored No. 3 Roselle Catholic, 26-14, en route to a 55-46 victory at Kean University. Richards added eight rebounds as his team improved to 3-0 against Roselle Catholic this season.

Trevon Duval to Take Third Official Visit to Arizona

As expected, Trevon Duval will take his third official visit to Arizona this weekend for the UCLA game.

No. 4 Arizona hosts No. 5 UCLA in a nationally-televised game Saturday night (8:15 ET, ESPN).

The 6-foot-3 point guard has already taken officials to Kansas and Duke. He is also expected to visit Seton Hall and Baylor.
