Texas freshman point guard Myck Kabongo announced Monday that he will return for his sophomore season.

“2012-13 will be a great yr 4 our team with everything we’ve been through,” Kabongo Tweeted.

Earlier he had Tweeted, “At peace with my decision and ready to move forward.”

The 6-foot-1 Toronto native who played at Findlay Prep and St. Benedict’s Prep averaged 9.8 points and 5.3 assists last season at Texas.

His decision appears wise since one veteran NBA scout told SNY.tv that Kabongo would “maybe” be a late second-round pick in the Draft.
