Micah Gordon, the four-star point guard and Plainfield, N.J. native, is headed to the Big East Conference.
The 5-foot-10 Gordon, now at Spire Academy (OH), committed to Creighton over VCU and West Virginia on Saturday at Plainfield High School.
Gordon, who plays with the PSA Cardinals Nike EYBL program, is ranked the No. 6 point guard in the Class of 2027 by 247Sports.com.
“I will be going to Creighton University,” Gordon told NJ.com ahead of his public announcement Saturday.
“It was one of the toughest decisions that I’ve had to make. I built relationships with a lot of amazing coaches. At this time, I feel like Creighton is the best decision for me. It provides me with an opportunity to make an impact right away as well as playing in one of the best conferences in college basketball. There were a lot of coaches that poured into me during this process. I am very appreciative.”
