Four-star guard Aaron Britt Jr. is headed to Texas Tech, On3’s Joe Tipton first reported on Monday.
A 6-foot senior from Florida, Britt chose the Red Raiders over Dayton, Florida State, Michigan State and Cincinnati.
Britt took his second official visit of the fall to Lubbock on Sept. 17 and four days later, he’s the newest member of Grant McCasland’s recruiting class for the class of 2027.
247Sports’ Adam Finkelstein highlighted Britt’s ball-skills and feel for the game, despite his undersized frame.
A senior at The Villages Charter (FL), Britt is coming off a junior season where he averaged 14.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game.
Britt spent this past summer on the Pro16 League circuit for Tre Mann Elite, with Britt attending the same high school as the current Wizards guard.
As Texas Tech’s become one of the top recruiting programs in the country due to its large NIL budget, Britt becomes the first member of the Red Raiders’ recruiting class for the class of 2027.
In 247Sports’ latest rankings for the class, he was a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 52 overall prospect in the country.
