Four-star forward Frashad Tisby is headed to South Carolina, 247Sports’ Brandon Jenkins reported on Monday.
Tisby, a 6-foot-6 forward from Cross Creek HS (GA), chose the Gamecocks over Marquette, Harvard, Yale and Arizona State, among others.
The Georgia native was named the Class 3A Player of the Year for the state, averaging 17.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 3.2 steals and 1.7 blocks per game and led his team to a state championship.
South Carolina was the first program to offer Tisby during his sophomore season, before his recruitment began to skyrocket and he began drawing interest from power five programs from around the country.
Tisby is Lamont Paris and South Carolina’s first commitment in the class of 2027 as Paris enters a crucial season with the program, who have made one NCAA Tournament under him.
He’s a four-star recruit in 247Sports’ latest rankings and is ranked as the No. 99 overall prospect in the class of 2027.
