As a versatile 6-foot-7 wing, Class of 2027 DeMarcus Henry oozes of upside and possesses a highly translatable skill set.

At national power Arizona Compass Prep, Henry Jr. culminated his visit to UConn on Friday.

The Huskies, of course, now have recruiting momentum rolling in their favor following the recent commitment from Navorro Bowman Jr.

A senior who turns 18 next month, Henry Jr. recently whittled a chock full of collegiate choices down to eight: Arkansas, BYU, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, Ohio State, as well as the Huskies.

Prior to the visit to Storrs, Conn., Henry Jr. had coaches from BYU, Kentucky, UNC, and Ohio State on hand to see him at Arizona Compass Pro Day on Wednesday.

He plans on visiting all of the schools he is considering this fall.

A long and lanky lefty with an adeptness for putting the ball on the deck, scoring on the move, and stepping out to stick the 3-pointer with reliability, Henry Jr. has soared up the national rankings.

He is currently hovering around the No.2 and No.3 slot, with his play at the exposure-rich environment at Peach Jam contributing significantly to Henry Jr.’s rapid, widespread upsurge.

The son of the late and legendary Chris Henry, who starred as wide receiver at West Virginia and went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals, Henry Jr. took off with an increase in his offensive workload.

A multi-positional defender with a thorough mid-range game and a nose for the ball, Henry Jr. authored efficiency and timely scoring at Arizona Compass, playing a supplemental scoring role alongside Top-50 recruit Kaden House (now at Maryland), Kalek House (Xavier), and others last season.

Henry Jr. scored 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting, including 2-for-3 from beyond the arc, during Arizona Compass’ 74-54 mauling of CATS Academy (MA) during the Western Maryland Classic this past winter.

His relentlessness and explosiveness were two noteworthy factors propelling Henry Jr.’s emergence as a top-tier prospect on the EYBL circuit.

He quickly added offers from UCONN, Kansas, Arkansas, North Carolina and a bevy of others to his pedigree this summer.

Buoyed by an adequate feel for picking his spots, thunderous above-rim finishes, and a knack for gaining air space on his mid range and outside shot, Henry Jr. detonated during the summer slate.

His 20.1 points per game led all scorers during NBA Top 100 camp, as he shot a blistering 52 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range.

He added 9.3 boards and three assists per game throughout the event.

    White adds offer from Syracuse:

A slick, high scoring guard now at Prolific Prep (FL), Michai White garnered an offer from Syracuse on Thursday.

The Class of 2028 White was among several hotly pursued five star recruits which Syracuse was down in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to check in on this week.

Cuse was also at Prolific Prep’s South Florida campus to check in on highly-coveted five star Nas Anderson.

White, who recently visited Providence, adds Syracuse to a growing list which includes the likes of Auburn, Houston, Florida State, Providence, Virginia, Maryland, Louisville, Indiana, Stanford, Penn State, Oklahoma State, and Villanova.
