Four-star guard Joshua Tyson is down to six schools in his recruitment, On3’s Joe Tipton reported on Monday.
Heading into his senior season at La Lumiere (IN), Tyson’s list of six schools includes Xavier, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Cincinnati and Clemson.
A guard with extreme length, despite standing at just 6-foot-1, Tyson boasts a lengthy 6-foot-9 wingspan and served as one of the best shot-blocking guards on the 3SSB circuit this summer.
Aside from his defensive prowess, he’s an elite up and down player on the offensive end and is a reliable playmaker, in which he limits turnovers at an excellent rate.
As his senior season nears, Tyson has begun setting up official visits with some of his finalists for the upcoming fall.
His upcoming visits are listed below.
Ohio State (August 28)
Virginia Tech (September 5)
Cincinnati (September 19)
Michigan State (October 9)
Yet to visit Clemson, Tyson’s most recent official visit was to Xavier earlier in July, visiting the Musketeers’ campus on July 21.
Tyson is a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 55 overall prospect in 247Sports rankings for the class of 2027.
