  • St. Mary’s Augustas Marčiulionis earns WCC Player of the Year

    St. Mary’s guard Augustas Marčiulionis has been named WCC Player of the Year after leading the Gaels to their first outright conference regular season title since 2011.

    Marčiulionis averaged 12.4 points on 43.4% shooting, 5.1 assists and 3.2 rebounds.

    St. Mary’s head coach Randy Bennett was also named WCC Coach of the Year as the Gaels went 15-1 in conference play and have lost just three games since Dec. 1.

    The WCC released their first-team All-Conference along with the two awards, featuring 10 players:

    Michael Ajayi, Pepperdine

    Adama-Alpha Bal, S. Clara

    Graham Ike, Gonzaga

    Aidan Mahaney, Saint Mary’s

    Augustas Marciulionis, Saint Mary’s

    Jonathan Mogbo, USF

    Ryan Nembhard, Gonzaga

    M. Saxen, Saint Mary’s

    Anton Watson, Gonzaga

    Marcus Williams, USF
