Five-star center and top-10 overall prospect in the 2024 class Jayden Quaintance is down to two schools: Kentucky and Missouri.

Joe Tipton of On3 reported the news first.

Quaintance — the 6-foot-9, 230-pound center from Word of God Christian Academy (NC) — was originally a member of the 2025 class before reclassifying this past summer. He won’t turn 18 until after he steps on college campus, making him an even more intriguing prospect.

Word of God Christian Academy is the same school that produced Kentucky and NBA star John Wall.

Quaintance — the No. 9 overall player in the country per 247Sports — is described as a fluid mover for his size. He has visited both his finalists Kentucky (Oct. 27) and Missouri (Sept. 21).

This recruitment battle between John Calipari and Dennis Gates could go down to the wire.
