Former Manhattan guard Omar Silverio is set to transfer to West Virginia, following his former teammate, and preseason MAAC Player of the Year, Jose Perez.

Silverio sat out the 2022-23 season after former Jaspers head coach Steve Masiello was let go two weeks before the season started.

The 6-foot-3 Dominican Republic native and former St. Raymond’s High School star averaged 10.9 points per game in the 2021-22 season at Hofstra.

Silverio, who played one season at Rhode Island and three at Hofstra, still needs a waiver to play next season. He presumably joins class of 2023 three-stars Josiah Harris, Josiah Davis, and Pat Suemnick as newcomers for the Mountaineers.

Perez has not decided whether he will play next season or not.
