Ugonna Kingsley Onyenso, the 22nd ranked player in the class of 2023 according to 247 Sports, is currently visiting Kentucky, a source told ZAGSBLOG.

Wildcats head coach John Calipari has stayed in Lexington for the visit with Onyenso instead of attending Peach Jam in South Carolina.

The 6-foot-11 center from Putnam Science (CT) Academy and the NY Jayhawks AAU and Team New England programs has also been in contact with coaches from LSU, Tennessee, Oklahoma State, and Oklahoma.

Onyenso has only taken one prior visit, which was to Oklahoma State.

“It was a very great visit. I love the coaches, the players and the energy,” Onyenso told ZAGSBLOG while recapping his first visit. “One thing that stood out to me was the interaction between the players and the coaches and how well they bonded.”

Kentucky is viewed as the favorite for the defensive-minded Onyenso, as he could be the third five-star to land in Lexington if he reclassifies, along with Chris Livingston and Cason Wallace.

Aside from Kentucky, Onyenso has a planned visit to Oklahoma on Sunday.
