Auburn has landed a commitment from Eastern Kentucky transfer guard Wendell Green Jr., he announced Friday via social media.

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound point guard out of Detroit, MI, averaged 15.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals per game on 39.6 percent from the field as a freshman during the 2020-21 season.

Green appeared in 29 games and made 25 starts for the Colonels, earning a first team All-Ohio Valley Conference nod.

Just one week after freshman guard Sharife Cooper declared for the 2021 NBA Draft, Auburn has already bolstered its backcourt depth, adding Green and Charleston transfer guard Zep Jasper.

Auburn is also bringing in five-star forward Jabari Smith Jr. and four-star shooting guard Trey Alexander in its 2021 recruiting class.
