  • Clean Sweep: USC’s Evan Mobley takes Pac-12 Player, Freshman and Defensive Player of the Year honors

    USC freshman big man Evan Mobley will need to clear some space on his mantle for all the hardware he’s adding.

    The 7-foot freshman on Tuesday was named Pac-12 Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 16.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 2.1 assists.

    Mobley is the consensus projected No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft behind Oklahoma State freshman point guard Cade Cunningham.

    USC coach Andy Enfield was named Coach of the Year after leading the Trojans to a 21-6 mark and first place in the Pac-12.
