CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — After cutting his list to eight schools last week, Huntington (W.V.) Prep small forward Miles Bridges is beginning to plan some more visits.

Bridges said Wednesday night at the NBPA Top 100 Camp that he intends to take an official visit to see John Calipari’s club.

“Just Kentucky right now,” Bridges said.

Incoming Kentucky point guard Isaiah Briscoe, who on Wednesday made the final cut for the USA U19 team, played a role in Bridges’ thought process.

“I talk to Briscoe and all of them and they said it was amazing there,” Bridges said. “I was on a unofficial [there previously] but he was talking to me about their officials and he was just telling me how crazy it was.”

Josh Jackson has impressed coaches and scouts alike as he trains with the USA U19 team in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The 6-foot-8 wing out of Prolific Prep (CA) is on his third go-round with USA Basketball and is hoping to make the final cut and head to the U19 World Championship in Crete, Greece that runs June 27-July 5.

“It’s the best feeling ever to win a gold medal,” he told SNY.tv by phone. “I know what it feels like and most of the guys here know what it feels like as well. Everybody here’s willing to do whatever they can to have that feeling again.”

bambaNEW YORK — When all is said and done, Mohamed Bamba will probably be able to attend any college in America he wishes.

    For free.

At 6-foot-11 and 205 pounds, the Harlem native can handle the ball, stroke the 3-pointer and thrill crowds with rim-rattling dunks. He will be on display this week at the NBPA Top 100 Camp at the University of Virginia.

“He’s going to be a kid who can literally dictate which school he wants to go to, so the biggest thing for him is just to continuously stay in that gym, stay in that classroom, get the best grades he can and get prepared for the ACT and the SAT, and just dissect the schools that he would like to go to,” Terrance “Munch” Williams of the PSA Cardinals AAU program told SNY.tv on The 4 Quarters Podcast.

“There’s going to be certain schools that call and we just say, ‘Hey, listen, you know what, we’re pretty comfortable with the schools that he has at this moment, but you’re welcome to recruit [our other players].'”

CHawLPoUsAAD0eTAs the Philadelphia 76ers weigh what to do with the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft, they continue to work out elite prospects.

Emmanuel Mudiay worked out for the Sixers on Tuesday after meeting on Monday with team officials.

The team will also work out Ohio State guard D’Angelo Russell on Wednesday, sources confirmed to SNY.tv after it was first reported by Mike Scotto of SheridanHoops.com. Russell cancelled a workout with the Sixers last Friday.

“[Mudiay] looked good,” one source said. “Very, very athletic and strong. Good finisher with either hand.”

The 6-foot-5 Mudiay has already worked out for the Lakers and Knicks, who pick at No. 2 and 4, respectively.
