Cameron Oliver is back, and drawing some significant attention from multiple schools out West.

The 6-foot-8, 225 pound senior power forward from Sacramento Grant (Ca.) has missed the better part of the year with a torn ACL, but has returned and is impressing the best in the west with his play. In the 11 games that he has played, Oliver has averaged 21.5 points per game.

Multiple Pac-12 schools have watched Oliver play recently, and he says that more are going to drop by in the not-so-distant future.

Here’s a scary thought for opponents of Kansas going forward.

Bill Self believes that Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins — the projected No. 1 and 2 picks in the NBA Draft — aren’t anywhere close to reaching their ceilings.

“I think [Embiid] can be an NBA All-Star eventually, and certainly we got another kid [Wiggins] that I think can do the same thing eventually,” Self, whose team visits Baylor tonight (7 p.m., ESPN2), told Seth Davis of CBS Sports.

“We’re just so young and they’re a ways away. But that’s what I think the most important thing about our team is, those two taking the next step because when they do, I think it will change our team in a very positive way.”

Florida head coach Billy Donovan, who led USA Basketball teams to gold medals in 2012 and 2013, will return to lead the 2014 USA Basketball Men’s U18 National Team at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship, and joining him on the sideline as USA assistant coaches will be Ed Cooley of Providence College and Sean Miller of the University of Arizona.

“Coach Donovan is not only one of the great college basketball coaches but he has proven to be successful with USA Basketball as well,” said Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim, chair of the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee, which is responsible for selecting the USA men’s U18 coaching staff. “Coach Cooley and coach Miller give us a staff of great teachers and great coaches. The U18 team will be well prepared for international competition.”

Findlay Prep shooting guard Rashad Vaughn will announce his college choice on Tuesday between 6-7 p.m. EST on CBS College Sports Network.

The 6-foot-5 Vaughn is considering UNLV, Kentucky, Iowa St, and North Carolina, but is widely expected to choose either UNLV or Iowa State.

Asked if he was still in the process of deciding, Vaughn said, “Yes.”

He was supposed to visit North Carolina Feb. 15, but won’t take it because he’s already been there.
