The college court drama continues this summer as players fight to remain eligible to play basketball in school.
Texas A&M guard Bryson Warren has been granted a temporary restraining order declaring him eligible to participate in men’s basketball activities by a judge in Brazos County, Texas, according to ESPN’s Jeff Borzello.
Warren played for multiple G-League teams, including the Westchester Knicks last season where he averaged 19.6 points per game and signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Miami Heat.
This continues a trend of players with professional experience looking to go back to school, such as LSU’s RJ Luis who was granted an injunction for eligibility this season.
The fallout of this restraining order remains to be seen but it will certainly not be the last instance of an athlete fighting for the right to go back to play in school.
