As a 6-foot-4 point guard with an adeptness for picking his spots, Class of 2027 four star Lucai Anderson has emerged into a high level left handed shot maker.

On Tuesday, Anderson announced he was headed to IMG Academy (FL) for his senior season.

Anderson is the latest in a recent rash of transfers to the national basketball breeding grounds, as newly minted head coach Jackson Johnson has re-tooled the roster with additions such as Class of 2028 four-star Will Brunson, top-10 national talent and five star 2027 wing Jordan Page, and vaunted 6-foot-7 rim attacker Josh Leonard.

Anderson is transferring in from Trinity Christian (TX), where he averaged a team-best 21.3 points and 4.9 boards per game en route to first team All State honors.

Anderson currently holds offers from Texas Tech, Villanova, Georgia Tech, UCF, Arizona State, and others.

The younger brother of Christian Anderson, who starred at Texas Tech as an 18 PPG scorer en route to a No.18 selection by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2026 NBA Draft, Lucai Anderson was offered by the Red Raiders this past spring.

A proficient mid range shooter with a consistent perimeter touch, Anderson possesses a smooth shot and a crafty finishing repertoire. He is able to create his shot off the bounce without requiring a lot of dribbles.

Now at 6-foot-5 and 190 pounds, Anderson has become a soaring finisher who routinely gets out into the open floor.

Anderson is coming off a convincing performance with Germany’s U-18 national team during the prestigious Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Mannheim, Germany.

Anderson put up efficient numbers, including a 24-point showing on the strength of 5-for-9 from 3-point range during a win over Turkey.
