Pittsburgh has officially signed Mercer transfer center Armani Mighty, per release.
A 6-foot-10 native of Toronto, Mighty just wrapped up his only season at Mercer after spending two at Boston College and time at Central Michigan, in which he used a medical redshirt to maintain his eligibility,
With one year of eligibility remaining headed into next season, Mighty averaged 13.2 points and 10.6 rebounds per game, while being named to the Second Team All-SoCon.
His top performance of the season came on January 15th, in a win over VMI, where the big man tallied 18 points and collected 25 rebounds.
During his career in the ACC at Boston College, Mighty appeared in 51 games for the Eagles, averaging 0.8 points per game and 1.0 rebound per game.
He joins Jeff Capel’s squad looking to provide depth in the front court and as a part of a recruiting class that will welcome 13 newcomers.
In addition to Mighty, Pittsburgh’s class of 2026 recruiting class also includes four-star forward Chase Foster, four-star guard Jermal Jones, Bryant transfer Timofei Rudovskii, Syracuse transfer Ibrahim Souare, Concord (D-II) transfer Kraig Gilbert, Charleston Southern transfer A’lahn Sumler, Gardner-Webb transfer Colin Hawkins, Georgia Tech transfer Baye Ndongo, Syracuse transfer Naithan George, North Carolina transfer Jonathan Powell, Alabama transfer Jalil Bethea and BYU transfer Dominique Diomande.
