Butler is adding significant size to ifs front court in the 2026-27 season.
Croatian forward Marko Maric has signed with the Bulldogs, the program officially announced on Thursday.
Maric most recently played for Novi Zagreb in the Croatian Prva Liga. He averaged 9.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, and 1.3 assists per game. He shot 37 percent from three-point range.
The 7-foot power forward also played for Team Croatia in FIBA U18 competition.
He averaged 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game for Team Croatia and will add depth to new head coach Ronald Nored’s team.
“Marko is a unique talent who brings a high level of versatility to our frontcourt,” Nored said in a statement on Thursday. “With a seven-foot frame, his ability to stretch the floor and make plays on the perimeter is something that fits perfectly with how we want to play. Beyond his skill, he has a great feel for the game and a competitive drive that our fans will love.”
Maric joins a recruiting class for Butler featuring Baron Walker and four-star prospect Herly Brutus.
