In the age of NIL, it is no longer a foregone conclusion that high-profile college athletes will take the first chance they have to go pro. Arkansas star freshman Boogie Fland is the latest example of that.

The 6-foot-2 guard out of New York will withdraw from the 2025 NBA Draft, per ESPN.

He was a projected late first round pick earlier in the college season according to mock drafts by CBS. But as the season went on and Fland’s season became heavily impacted by injuries his stock fell into the second round.

Fland had already entered the transfer portal before deciding to withdraw from the NBA Draft allowing him to return to college basketball.

He averaged 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game as a freshman for John Calipari and Arkansas.

Fland will immediately be one of, if not the most, coveted targets still available in the transfer portal this off-season and has been heavily linked to Florida which will look the replace the production of Walter Clayton Jr, who will be entering the NBA Draft this year.
