DePaul has secured its fifth transfer portal acquisition.

St. John’s transfer Khaman Maker will play for the Blue Demons next season, he announced on his Instagram on Monday.

The 7-foot-1 Center out of South Sudan only played one game this season for St. John’s on Dec. 17 against DePaul. In that game, he logged only two minutes and recorded a single rebound on the season.

Maker will remain in the BIG EAST to play for DePaul, which was 4-16 in conference play this season.

Maker has high upside as a highly touted recruit coming out of high school, revolving around his size and shot-blocking ability.

DePaul has also signed Radford transfer Brandon Maclin, Tulane transfer Kaleb Banks, Wofford transfer Jeremy Lorenz and Colorado transfer RJ Smith.
