Yame Butler to Butler has been made official.

The Drexel transfer signed an athletic aid agreement for Butler’s final year of eligibility, Butler University announced Thursday.

“Yame brings both experience and physicality to our program,” said Butler coach Thad Matta. “He has the ability and willingness to guard multiple positions and rebound. Offensively, he is aggressive in getting downhill to both score at the rim and get to the free throw line. Yame will be impactful for us both on the court and in the locker room, and we’re excited to get him on campus.”

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game in his senior year. He played his last three seasons at Drexel before deciding to head to the BIG EAST to play for Thad Matta and Butler.

Butler has also signed Purdue Fort Wayne transfer Jalen Jackson and Gonzaga transfer Michael Ajayi as they look to climb the ranks in the BIG EAST next season.
