Miami transfer guard Wooga Poplar will “probably visit” Kentucky after the staff reached out to him, his father told ZAGSBLOG.

“They want him,” his father said.

The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists last season at Miami, and has heard from a number of teams since entering the portal, including Kansas, Arkansas, Duke, Villanova and St. John’s.

In a 95-73 loss at Rupp Arena on Nov. 28, Poplar went for 19 points and 8 rebounds against the Wildcats.

Under new coach Mark Pope, Kentucky is trying to rebuild its roster and has added transfer guards Otega Oweh (Oklahoma) and Lamont Butler (San Diego State) and has Dayton transfer Koby Brea on a visit.
