Former Princeton forward and graduate transfer Zach Martini has committed to Rutgers, per his X page.

Martini — the 6-foot-7, 235 pound forward from Warren (NJ) — averaged 8.4 points and 3.3 rebounds last season for Princeton. He also shot 44.5% from the field and 38.5% from 3-point range on 156 attempts.

“Coach [Steve] Pikiell was the first coach to call me after entering the portal,” Martini told ZAGSBLOG.com. “Right away I felt that I was needed at Rutgers. He built a great relationship with me since then. I feel very comfortable joining this team. I’ll bring a leader who comes from a winning program who is going to leave it all on the floor every night. I’m someone who is a confident shooter and loves the challenge of guarding multiple positions.”

Pikiell has been active in the transfer portal this offseason, with Martini being his second commitment. The Scarlet Knights also have a portal pledge from Eastern Michigan transfer guard Tyson Acuff. Those two portal additions will join talented freshman and five-stars Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey on the 24-25 roster.

Three other 2024 high school commits will join them on the 24-25 roster in three star forwards Lathan Sommerville, Bryce Dortch and Dylan Grant.
