Longwood upset No. 2 seed UNC Asheville 85-59 in the Big South Championship to earn the second NCAA Tournament bid of 2024 and second March Madness appearance in program history.

The Lancers took down the top two seeds in the Big South as they beat No. 1 High Point 80-79 Saturday.

It was another balanced approach for Longwood Sunday as five players went over double -figures.

Michael Christmas dropped a game-high 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting with 4 rebounds. Szymon Zapala starred again, posting 17 points and 7 rebounds.

Longwood is a projected 15-to-16-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
