St. Bonaventure has added some firepower.

The Bonnies on Saturday landed a pledge from Lajae Jones, a 6-foot-7 guard who was the top-ranked scorer for Barton Community College (KS), the NJCAA Division 1 national champs.

He chose the Bonnies over Memphis, Oral Roberts and Stephen F. Austin.

“I feel like St. Bonaventure is the right spot for me,” he told ZAGSBLOG.

Jones averaged 15.4 points and 9.2 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field and 42.2% from deep.

“I feel like I bring a lot of skills to the table, like shooting, play-making and defense,” he said.
