Creighton has landed a commitment from 6-foot-5, 3-star point guard Ty Davis of Birmingham (Ala.) Mountain Brook.

He also held offers from  Davidson, Marshall, Richmond, Lipscomb, Murray State, Belmont, and others, per On3.com.

“I ultimately chose Creighton because of how much Coach [Greg] McDermott, the entire staff, and players made me feel at home while I was on my visit,” he told On3. “The Big East conference is the best basketball conference in the nation. I also love the culture, the university, and the amazing fans that support the Bluejays.”

He added: “I feel I am a playmaking guard that loves to always make the right play, whether that’s for others or myself. A lot of people would say my passing and vision is the best part of my game and I also love to shoot it from deep and finish at the rim.”
