  • Recruiting Roundup: Official Visits and Tidbits

    Here’s a look towards this week’s recruiting visits and other news. This list will be updated throughout the week.

    **Jason Asemota, the 6-foot-8, 190-pound small forward from Hillcrest (AZ) Prep, trips to Baylor this weekend (Aug. 26) for an official visit.

    The 2024 forward recently released a top eight of Baylor, Memphis, Arizona State, Ohio State, Oregon, LSU, Stanford and Kansas.

    **Dennis Parker, the 6-foot-6, 175-pound small forward from John Marshall (VA), trips to Georgetown this weekend (Aug. 26-28) for his first official visit.

    **Cam Scott, the 6-foot-5, 175-pound shooting guard from Lexington (SC), will visit Florida State this weekend (Aug. 27) for his first official visit.

    The 2024 guard also has an official visit planned to Oregon (Oct. 7).

    **Jace Posey, the 6-foot-4, 175-pound small forward from Strake Jesuit (TX) College Prep, will take his second official visit to George Mason this weekend (Aug. 26).

    Posey took his first official visit to TCU (Aug. 1) and has visits planned to Vanderbilt (Sept. 2) and Arizona State (Sept. 9).

    **Jamari McDowell, the 6-foot-4, 180-pound shooting guard from Manvel (TX), trips to Kansas this weekend (Aug. 26-28).

    McDowell has previously taken official visits to Texas A&M, Wake Forest and Xavier.

    **Keanu Dawes, the 6-foot-7, 210-pound power forward from Stratford (TX), takes his first official visit to Rice this weekend (Aug. 26-28).

    Dawes also has visits planned to Texas A&M (Sept. 15-16), BYU (Sept. 29-Oct. 1), Utah (Oct. 13-16) and Oklahoma State (Oct. 21-23).

    **Parker Friedrichsen, the 6-foot-3, 165-pound shooting guard from Bixby (OK), trips to Notre Dame this weekend (Aug. 26) for his first official visit. He will then visit Davidson for his second official visit on August 30.

    Friedrichsen also has visits planned to Rice (Sept. 2), Nebraska (Sept. 9) and Northwestern (Sept. 16).

    **Davin Cosby, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Word of God (NC) Christian Academy, trips to Virginia this weekend (Aug. 26-28) for his second official visit.

    Cosby took his first official visit to Wake Forest (July 31) and has trips planned to Alabama (Sept. 3), Tennessee (Oct. 15) and LSU (Oct. 22).

    **Macaleab Rich, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound small forward from East St. Louis (IL), will visit Missouri for an official visit this week (Aug. 25).

    Rich, who is set to announce his commitment on Sept. 26, also has visits planned to Ole Miss (Sept. 1) and Kansas State (Sept. 9).

    **Donnie Freeman, the 6-foot-8, 190-pound power forward from St. John’s (D.C.) College Prep, trips to Rutgers on Thursday (Aug. 25) for an unofficial viist.

    Freeman will take his first official visit to Iowa next month (Sept. 16-18).
