Corey Chest Jr., the 6-foot-8, 215-pound forward from Link Academy (MO), has committed to LSU.

Ranked the No. 12 power forward in the Class of 2023 by 247Sports.com, the Louisiana native also considered Kansas, Houston, and Texas.

“I choose LSU because of my relationship with coach Matt [McMahon] and his entire coaching staff,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “I’m big on family, it’s home. Coach Matt broke everything down to me when I went on my visit and put me in position to play my game and be the best I can be.

“I can also push the ball and create for others.”

Chest is LSU’s first 2023 commit.
