Highly coveted South Dakota State transfer Baylor Scheierman has narrowed his list to 10 schools and has had home visits with eight of them, a source confirmed.

The news was first reported by Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com.

The 6-foot-6 sophomore from Aurora, NE is considering Arkansas, Clemson, Creighton, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Texas and Wake Forest and will announce within the next two weeks, per Givony.

“I want to put myself in the best position to improve my pro aspirations,” he told Omaha.com.

Scheierman averaged 16.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists while shooting 51 percent from the field and 47 percent from deep this past season for a Jackrabbits team that won 21 straight games before losing to Providence in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

He led the Jackrabbits (30-6) with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the game.
