Bellarmine wins ASUN but won’t be going to NCAA tournament
By CHARLIE PARENT
Bellarmine defeated Jacksonville 77-72 to clinch the ASUN championship on Tuesday.
What they didn’t clinch, however, was a bid to March Madness.
This is because the Knights are just two-years young in Division I. NCAA rules state that a program must be in Division I for at least four years to be eligible for March Madness.

Instead of Bellarmine, it will be Jacksonville State, the ASUN regular season champion, who will be dancing. The Gamecocks are 21-10 and likely to sit on the 16 line come Selection Sunday.
Bellarmine wins the Atlantic Sun Tournament.
But Bellarmine is ineligible for the NCAA Tournament.
So Jacksonville State — who Jacksonville — who lost to Bellarmine tonight — beat in the semis — will go instead.
