UConn should be getting two of its best players back soon.

Head coach Dan Hurley said forward Adama Sanogo (abdominal strain) and guard Tyrese Martin (wrist) should return soon from injuries.

“I think Tyrese as long as he doesn’t have a setback, he should be there for the [Big East] opener on the 18th [against Providence],” Hurley said following his team’s 74-64 victory Saturday over St. Bonaventure at Prudential Center.

“And Adama, we’ll know more middle of the week because he’s ramped things up, but it’s a delicate injury. At most, he may be a couple games away, if not in play around the opener.”

The 6-foot-9 Sanogo is averaging 15.6 points and 6.3 rebounds, while the 6-6 Mattin is averaging 12.9 points and 7.7 rebounds.
