The 6-foot-1, 175-pound point guard from Blue Valley Northwest (KS) High School, chose Oklahoma over offers from Kansas State and Southern Illinois, among others.
“Of course, coach [Porter] Moser, I know he is a great coach and I wanted to play for him,” Mason told ZAGSBLOG Friday. “Oklahoma is just a great school in general: great fan base, great conference and great environment.”
Ranked by 247Sports.com as the No. 42 point guard in the class of 2021, Mason joins four-star shooting guard C.J. Noland and three-star point guard Bijan Cortes in the Sooners’ 2021 recruiting class.
“I’m a player that can score, pass, lead and defend,” Mason said. “A player that is willing to learn and try to succeed everyday.
“I think I will fit in well [at Oklahoma], especially with coach Moser and how he runs the offense.”
