Masai Troutman currently holds offers from Bryant, Florida, Indiana, Georgetown, Xavier, St. Joe’s, Northwestern and is drawing interest from numerous schools.
Troutman, a 6-foot-5 Class of 2022 small forward who attends St. Andrew’s Episcopal (MD) School and runs with Team Takeover, told ZAGSBLOG that Georgetown, Xavier, and Indiana are currently prioritizing him.
He then broke down each school.
Georgetown: “They want me to come in and be the player they know I can be. They know that I can just ball out and help them win big. They are building a really good program, and Coach [Patrick] Ewing knows how to win.”
Xavier: “Xavier wants me to come in and just be me. I fit great with their system of heavy guard play. They have developed pros and are a super successful program, in a good conference.”
Indiana: “The Hoosiers want me to come to their program, and see me excel. Indiana is a great program, and I admire what coach [Archie] Miller has done there. They also play in the Big-10 which is a bonus.”
In addition, Troutman said that East Carolina is the latest program to reach out to him.
He has yet to think about cutting his list or making a commitment.
His team’ season starts this month, and Masai says “my strengths and transition play are the best aspects of my game.”
