Al-Amir Dawes, the 6-foot-2 combo guard from The Patrick School (N.J.) and the NJ Playaz, will announce his college choice on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at his high school.

Ranked the No. 13 combo guard nationally by 247Sports.com, Dawes now lists a top four of St. John’s, Seton Hall, Providence and Clemson after eliminating TCU, UConn, La Salle and Wichita State.

He has recently taken officials to St. John’s, Clemson and Providence. Seton Hall coach Kevin Willard had a home visit with him Tuesday and Dawes also spent part of the day on campus. St. John’s coach Chris Mullin is due in Wednesday.

He averaged 15.5 points and 4.3 assists this summer with the Playaz.
