Auburn has landed a commitment from Memphis transfer Jamal Johnson, who will sit one year to play three.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 6.9 points and 3.3 rebound last season with Memphis.

“I decided to commit to Auburn University,” Johnson told 247sports.com, which reported he also considered Middle Tennessee, UAB, UNC Charlotte and Louisiana Tech.

“I feel like it’s home for me. I think I fit well in this program. Coach Pearl and this staff warmed up to me. I feel like I belong here. I feel like is right for me.”
