Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis continue to expand the frontiers at the Ranney School in Central New Jersey.

Just a couple of years ago, the school was a non-factor on the statewide boys basketball scene.

Now they have won the school’s first-ever South Non-Public B championship after beating rival Trenton Catholic, 71-56, on Tuesday night at Jackson Liberty High School.

Villanova assistant Ash Howard was on hand as Antoine went for 30 points in the victory and Lewis added 20.

“Our gameplan was to attack,” Ranney head coach Tahj Holden told the Asbury Park Press. “They didn’t really have any shot blockers.

“We knew if we could get into the lane we could probably finish and that’s what Bryan did. he got himself going, and once he gets going he’s pretty difficult to stop.”

Ranney will next face the winner of Thursday’s North Non-Public B final between Roselle Catholic and Gill St. Bernard’s at Rutgers. The state Non-Public B title game will take place on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the Ritacco Center in Toms River.

Led by LSU-bound big man Naz Reid and uncommitted Class of 2019 wing Kahlil Whitney, Roselle Catholic beat Ranney, 75-49, last month at Brookdale Community College.

Antoine and Lewis are two of the top prospects nationally in the Class of 2019. Both were invited by the NCAA and USA Basketball to compete in high school games between academies at the Final Four in San Antonio.
