GREENVILLE, S.C. — Their NCAA Tournament game may not be the only thing Seton Hall lost Friday afternoon.

Head coach Kevin Willard will meet with star big man Angel Delgado on Tuesday to discuss Delgado’s plans of either returning to school for his senior year or turning pro, sources told ZAGSBLOG.

Following a wildly successful junior season that saw Delgado cement himself as one of the nation’s elite big men, the Dominican Republic native now seems to be mulling over a decision to forego his last year of collegiate eligibility.

“I’m gonna sit down with my family and see what we can do,” Delgado said immediately following Seton Hall’s 77-71 first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Arkansas.

Dan Hurley doesn’t have to look far for a scouting report on Rhode Island’s next opponent.

His older brother Bobby Hurley is the Arizona State coach and knows Oregon all too well from coaching in the Pac-12.

“I’m going to lean on brother Bob for a little Pac-12 intel,” Dan said after the No. 11 Rams knocked off No. 6 Creighton, 84-72, in Sacramento on Friday night to set up Sunday’s showdown with the No. 3 Ducks. “They played them very well at Oregon and played them really well in the first half in particular in the Pac-12 tournament. Bob is here and now it becomes — it was type of a vacation-type trip for him, and now it becomes a working trip for Bob. I don’t know if he’s allowed to unofficially join our staff. Gotta check with compliance.”

Following UCLA’s 97-80 win over Kent State on Friday night, UCLA freshman point guard Lonzo Ball was asked about his mother’s health while on the podium.

    Here’s the interaction:

    Q. Lonzo, there was a report that your mom suffered a stroke. I just want to know if that was the case and how you’re holding up if that’s the case?

LONZO BALL: I got no comment on that, man. It’s a family thing.

The question apparently stemmed from a report from the site armchairallamericans.com  which quoted an anonymous member of the Ball family as saying Tina Ball had suffered a stroke.
