John Calipari picked up the No. 1 player from the transfer portal on Tuesday when former FAU guard Johnell Davis committed to Arkansas.

The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists last season for the Owls. He averaged 13.8 points and 5.4 rebounds when FAU reached the Final Four in 2023.

Arkansas now has six scholarship players for Calipari’s first season after leaving Kentucky, with seven spots to fill. He joins Kentucky transfer Zvonimir Ivisic, Tennessee transfer Jonas Aidoo and former Kentucky commits Karter Knox, Boogie Fland and Billy Richmond.
