    GilesHarry Giles will likely shift the date of his North Carolina official visit and remains open in his recruitment, Oak Hill coach Steve Smith told The 4 Quarters Podcast.

    “He’s supposed to go to Carolina next weekend but he’s got a conflict so I think he’s going to move that to the weekend of Oct. 2nd or Oct. 24th,” Smith said. “He’s going to visit Wake Forest this weekend and then have four straight weekends of visits in October.”

    The 6-foot-10 Giles, the top-ranked player in the Class of 2016 and the projected No. 1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, will visit Wake Forest this weekend, Kansas on Oct. 10, Kentucky on Oct. 16 for Big Blue Madness and Duke on Oct. 31.

    Recruiting, Seton Hall

    AikenBryce Aiken is down to three schools and is closing in on a decision, he told SNY.tv Wednesday night.

    The 5-foot-11 point guard from the PSA Cardinals and Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick is down to Harvard, Miami and Seton Hall. He is no longer consider USC or Michigan.

    Aiken visited Harvard this past weekend, hits Seton Hall Thursday-Saturday with South Kent (CT) guard Myles Powell and then trips to Miami Sept. 23. He plans to decide sometime after the Miami visit.

    “I’m down to Harvard, Miami and Seton Hall,” Aiken said, adding that Jim Larranaga and Chris Caputo of Miami and Kevin Willard and Shaheen Holloway of Seton Hall watched him Tuesday.

    Kentucky, Recruiting

    Mohammed BambaA slew of coaches are expected in Friday to watch Mohamed Bamba, a 6-foot-11 2017 star out of Westtown (Pa.) School and the PSA Cardinals AAU program.

    Coaches from Kentucky, Indiana, Arizona, Temple, Villanova, Maryland, UConn, Syracuse, Seton Hall, Providence, St. John’s, Penn State and Rice are expected, PSA Cardinals coach Terrance “Munch” Williams confirmed. Andrew Slater of 247Sports.com was the first to report it.

    Bamba recently visited St. John’s, Wake Forest and Duke after a big summer in which he picked up offers from numerous schools, including Kentucky and Duke. The Harlem native is now ranked No. 8 in the Class of 2017 by ESPN.com and No. 4 by Scout.com.

    Articles, Villanova

    4_3560853Dylan Painter, a 6-foot-10, 230-pound power forward from Hershey (PA) High School, has committed to Villanova.

    Painter told SNY.tv he made up his mind on Tuesday.

    “I thought that was the best place for me to be the best Dylan Painter I can be,” he said.
