Here’s a few quick hits on some of the top uncommitted prospects in the Class of 2015.
**
JaQuan Lyle says he has no visits planned at the moment. The 6-foot-5 guard out of Indiana is now at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.,
and most recently visited LSU with LSU-bound big man Ben Simmons and uncommitted guard Antonio Blakeney. A onetime Louisville and Oregon commit, Lyle recently told SNY.tv he’s being recruited by Indiana, Oregon, Missouri, Ohio State and Xavier. Lyle’s former head coach at Huntington (W.V.) Prep,
Rob Fulford, is now an assistant at Mizzou. Florida State assistant
Dennis Gates also watched Lyle at practice on Tuesday.
**Kentucky coach
John Calipari, Georgia Tech coach
Brian Gregory, Georgia coach
Mark Fox, UCLA assistant
David Grace and Kansas assistant
Norm Roberts are expected to watch
Jaylen Brown and Marietta (GA) Wheeler play Saturday night, sources told SNY.tv. The No. 1 player in the Class of 2015 according to Scout.com, Brown visited Kansas, Kentucky and UCLA this fall,
and told SNY.tv he’s planning to take officials to Michigan and North Carolina.
**Kentucky head coach
John Calipari and Kansas head coach
Bill Self are expected to watch 2015 forward
Carlton Bragg Saturday night at the Marshall County Hoop Fest (schedule below), sources confirmed to SNY.tv. The 6-8 Bragg
is considering those schools along with UCLA and Illinois.
**Uncommitted 2015 guard
Antonio Blakeney told Rivals.com he has one official visit left and is considering North Carolina, N.C. State and Oregon, but will take unofficials to the ones he doesn’t visit officially. The 6-4 Blakeney is also considering Kentucky, LSU and Missouri, all of which he’s visited. He told Rivals that
Isaiah Briscoe’s commitment to Kentucky would not affect him. The two are close friends, and as we reported, Briscoe is still recruiting both Blakeney and
Malik Newman to Kentucky.
Newman said he and Briscoe would make a “good backcourt.”
**Newman
, Cheick Diallo, Thon Maker, Jamal Murray, Thomas Bryant, Miles Bridges, UNLV commit
Derrick Jones and Kentucky signee
Skal Labissiere are also playing in the Marshall County Hoop Fest. Check back here later this week for updates.
