Derrick JonesDerrick Jones, a 6-foot-7 wing forward from Radnor (PA) Archbishop Carroll, will visit UNLV Thursday for  the Scarlet & Gray Showcase, his father told SNY.tv.

UNLV assistant Ryan Miller watched Jones work out at his school this past week, and the Rebels are among the schools recruiting Jones the hardest, along with UConn and Auburn.

“I like their style of play and they have a great coaching staff,” Derrick Jones Sr. said of UNLV. “Even though I know Derrick can adapt to any system, UNLV plays the way Derrick likes to play.”

Jones, who won the dunk contest in the Elite 24 game, is expected to sign in the spring.
