  • NEW YORK — Rasheed Wallace hasn’t played since Dec. 13 with a fractured foot, but he was dribbling and shooting on the Madison Square Garden court Sunday afternoon and could make his return before or during the playoffs.

“I think anything from 10-15 minutes, Rasheed being on the floor would be a positive for our ballclub,” Knicks coach Mike Woodson said before the team clinched the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference with a 90-80 victory over the Indiana Pacers at Madison Square Garden.

Woodson said Wallace has been running the past few days and will be reevaluated Monday.

The Knicks visit Charlotte Monday and host Atlanta Wednesday in the regular-season finale.

Tyler EnnisNEW YORK — When St. Benedict’s senior point guard and Syracuse recruit Tyler Ennis was left off the roster for the McDonald’s All-American Game, he took his frustrations out by dropping a school-record 53 points on Eastern (N.J.) High School the next day in a 116-65 victory.

Ennis didn’t go that far on Saturday at the Jordan Brand Classic, but he certainly proved his worth on the national stage, scoring 14 points on 6-for-13 shooting to go along with six assists, five rebounds, four steals and just one turnover but his East squad lost to the West, 102-98, in the Jordan Brand Classic at Barclays Center.

“Ever since that game went on or that game was picked, I wanted to come out and prove that I’m one of the top players and that I should’ve been picked for that game,” the 6-foot-2 Toronto, Ontario native said. “It’s kind of like a wake-up call that I have to go out and play and prove to everybody what I can really do.”

“I thought Tyler played really big, I thought he was the MVP,” said fellow countryman and CIA Bounce teammate Andrew Wiggins, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

NEW YORK — Carmelo Anthony said it was tough to see his friend Kobe Bryant go down with the season-ending Achilles’ injury.

“That was a tough for him to go down like that,” Anthony told SNY.tv and one other outlet after watching the Jordan Brand Classic at Barclays Center Saturday night. “As a friend, as a brother, I never want to see him go out like that.”

Bryant is sidelined 6-9 months with a torn left Achilles’ tendon but Anthony thinks he’ll make it back next season.

“I’m pretty sure he will,” he said. “That’s Kobe, of course.”

NEW YORK — Jaren Sina says he’s getting close to a decision on his future.

“It could be any day,” he told SNY.tv Saturday night at the Jordan Brand Classic. “As soon as I feel comfortable, it could be any day.”

The 6-foot-1 Gill St. Bernard’s point guard was unable to play in the Jordan Regional Game because he recently had a hernia operation and said he expects to “get back into the swing of things” in 4-5 weeks.

Meantime, the onetime Alabama pledge visited Alabama this week and met with head coach Anthony Grant.

Hassan MartinNEW YORK – The craziness at Rutgers over the past two weeks hasn’t been exclusive to Central New Jersey, but also to Kingston, R.I. and, in the case of Hassan Martin, Staten Island.

The 6-foot-6 forward has signed with the University of Rhode Island, but with rumors running rampant that Rams head coach and New Jersey native Dan Hurley may head back home to coach the Scarlet Knights, it made for a tough few days for Martin.

NEW YORK — The backcourt of Shane Rector and Jon Severe led the White team to a 114-102 victory over the Black team in the Jordan Brand Regional Game Saturday at the Barclays Center.

On a roster full of committed players, both New York guards remain uncommitted.

The 6-foot Rector, a one-time Rutgers commit who went for 12 points and eight assists, recently re-opened his recruitment in the wake of the Mike Rice firing.

His father, Deshon Rector, told SNY.tv that his son is still considering Rutgers, but that he has recently picked up offers from Missouri, Butler, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Seton Hall and Western Kentucky.
