One of the more drawn out recruitments in the Class of 2012 came to an end Friday when Daiquan Walker pulled the trigger.

The 6-foot-3 point guard out of Philadelphia Constitution High signed with future Big East school UCF over Seton Hall, Tulsa, Temple and Penn State.

    The All-State, All-City and All-League guard averaged 18 points and 8 assists.

“Daiquan will be a combo guard with supreme point guard skills and the ability to run the show,” Constitution coach Rob Moore told SNY.tv. “He can also shoot and score at a high level. He will step right into the spot vacated by the departure of [Jeffrey] Jordan.”

Walker joins shooting guard Matt Williams and power forwards Staphon Blair and Dylan Karell in head coach Donnie Jones‘ 2012 class.

As for Walker’s 2012 teammate Savon Goodman, Moore said he is still considering SMU, UNLV and Pittsburgh.
