Five schools are working the hardest on 6-foot-8 Brewster Academy forward JaKarr Sampson, according to his AAU coach.

“St. John’s, Kansas, Providence, Baylor and Florida,” Don Anderson told SNY.tv by text.

A former St. John’s commit, Sampson also mentioned Louisville and Pitt during the above interview with MassLive.com.

“I’m not even close to deciding right now,” he said. “I’m probably going to sign in the spring.”

He said he will take visits “Probably after the season.”

Johnnies coach Steve Lavin and Providence head coach Ed Cooley were on hand as Sampson put up 13 points, including two put-back dunks,  7 rebounds and 3 assists but fouled out Sunday night when Brewster edged Nerlens Noel and Tilton (N.H.) Academy, 57-53, at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
