With the start of the Big East conference schedule, Rutgers coach Mike Rice joined the SNY guys in studio to talk about his young team and his outlook on hte conference.

    Among the highlights:

**Rice said 6-10 redshirt freshman Kadeem Jack could play a “couple minutes” Thursday against No. 10 Florida. Jack broke a bone in his foot in October and was slated to be out 3-4 months. He would add a much-needed athletic presence to Rutgers’ frontcourt.

**Rice on Seton Hall’s 11-1 start:  “I still can’t believe they’re not rated in the Top 25.”

**Rice on Pirates coach Kevin Willard: “He right now is probably the [Big East] Coach of the Year. Him and JT3.”
